hi all, my lights went on and i saw probably around 10+ worms or worm like things on my glass. Below are the description of the worm,

-looks like sewing thread

-black

-around 1cm across

-moves very slow

Parameters are as follows:

Ph: 8.3-8.4

Ammonia: 0ppm

Nitrite: 0ppm

Nitrate 10ppm

Dkh: 10-11

This is the first day i saw them and its really hard to take a pic of them. Are they harmful or spread really fast? If so, any effective way of removing them?Any help would be good.:)

Fresh fishes and inverts! What's next? To the salty side of marine of course!:)

Most likely bristleworm. scavengers.

I think most reefers tend to leave it alone.

It did kill my 2 baby clams though.....

Oh if so small, then I am not sure what they are....

are you able to scoop them up using a net or something?

Just get rid of them then.

Thought of that too but mine only 2 feet which i feel will add to its aggression due to the small space. Dont dare to get other fishes too cause i lost arnd 4 common clowns and 1 true perc already without obvious symptoms other than rapid breathing and discolouration or slime and stays at its green gonio host at the bottom while my mandarinfish and firefish are happily eating and swimming... Any problems u can diagnose with thr clowns too? Oh yaa do starfish work for the worms? Those plain orange stars... Really appreciate your time and help
