Can anyone assist why my DKH is at 14,during cycling after 2 weeks?is it a normal case? What can be the cause of it that results in so high KH?I did not add any addictives, apart from dosing bio-bacteria,and trace element during cycling period.

-Main Display Tank : 2ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft c/w sump tank cabinet (Set up by aquarium artist)

-Lightings : 4 sets of 1.5ft mini aqua lumen LED lights (7 high power led 15W)

I think it is normal........but I did whack in Seachem Calcium Advantage dissolved in water from 360ppm to 460ppm........and dkh drop to 11 after that...........

Ca and dKH are on opposite end of the spectrum.

1 goes up and the other will drop.

If you cannot raise their level, then check the Mg level.

Hi, my followings measurement are stated below:

a) DKH:14

B) Calcuim: 400ppm

c) Magnesium: 1150ppm

Should i add calcuim to 450ppm and KH will drop?

Bro, meaning to said that once magnesium is stable between 1200ppm to 1350ppm, then start to dose calcium to achieve 450 to 460ppm, after that, the Dkh will dropped to desirable level (Between 10 to 12)?
