Wat fish is compatiable wif trigger fish?

Recommended Posts

Probably a big angel. Or a barracuda.

Triggers are too aggressive, even to their own kind.

Even lionfish will get harassed and killed.

Usually, a species only tank is recommended for triggers.

I avoid triggers like the plague when I go diving.

sounds like a bursa trigger...

if your triggers are still small, abt 2 inches to 3 inches, you can keep it with quite a lot of fishes....like french angel (big angels) and tangs  (My wife keeps 2 tangs, 3 angels with her 4 triggers)

Picasso and bursa triggers are quite mild.

Comparatively, triggers like clown, blue-line, Queen, undulated are fiercer and difficult to predict their behaviour....

the best trigger I have encountered ar blue-chin triggers

i hv a clown trigger n its been with me for 2 yrs already. His neighbours include bicolor angel, flamehawk, purple tang, sailfin tang & tomato clown. So far no prob but i think the trigger all hv their own personality n no prob for my does not mean ok with anothers. It does not disturb my cukes, soft corals or slugs but once in a while tries to attack my hermit crabs. So far no casualty as well on the hermit front haha

i keep mine (3triggers) with angels and tangs and they are by far the model citizens  in my tank! (the gangsters are my angels!!! )

but i have a clown trigger which i am keeping a close watch as it is mixing with bad company. <_< and i dunno when it will go ballistic

i also have another trigger in another tank who only detests bigger fishes but leaves the small fishes alone!

btw,

the undulate is supposedly one of the meanest triggers around.

and triggers love to pick on lions! so not advisable to keep lions and triggers together.

just my 2cents.. :)

i've been keeping an undulatated trigger for a few months

liao in a 2ft.

it will NOT tolerate any sharing,

that guys is vicious, it attacks everything from

food to plastic spoon to finger.

i feed it dead fish i get from the LFS,

damsels, gobies, shrimp all gone,

eaten in 1-2hrs.

my guess is that once it matures and decides to establish

a territory, it will become a terror
