i always wonder how did all these reefers keep their coral so close together and it does'nt sting each other.... my bubble just "killed" 1 stalk of my octopus recently....

hi bro...

ypur bubble is hard coral.. and most hard coral sting and cant be place close together with other coral...

soft coral or sps dont sting so it's ok to keep them close to each other

sps can kill each other too.

different species cannot touch each other too but different colour of the same species can

didn't know that 2x175watt 20000k MH plus acticnic can cause sigh strong colour in corals. very impressive.:lol::lol:

1) FYI, hard coral divide into 2 main catagories, LPS & SPS.if you say hard coral stings, and most SPS dun.... i really wonder u undestand what u r trying to say :D:D:D .

2) i wuld say most of the coral stings depends on their aggresiveness. some coral is more passive and some very aggresive... leather mentioned by FuEl is 1 of an example, other softies like elephant ear are extremely aggresive.....

3) to learn more about the charateristic of each coral, i would recomend you to read more, this is a link where i found found pretty useful for most newbie... :):)
