bro William, urm.... i think its called a brain?(someone correct me if i'm wrong...been wanting to know too) not elegance... though i used to have an elegance which grew too big for my tank... had to sell it off... :(

bro Jacky, thanks! will snap from more angles when i can :)

bro Ezie, i'm using LED strips of blue and pure white which i bought from sim lim. i took out the tubes, lighting wirings and sockets from an aquazonic lightset and put in the LEDS on the stock reflectors itself. The LEDs are powered by a normal adapter. Have not encounter the problem of salt crystals forming yet coz theres the plastic sheet to cover the LEDs.. nevertheless, i'm still monitoring this closely coz some bros already experience salt crystals forming and also the 3M stickers giving way.

You can check out a short vid i shot of the tank before the rescape. shows alil about the light towards the end. cheers!

Hi bro, are u using any chillers to cool the water? I am planning to setup a nano soon. Thanks. :ThanxSmiley:

One more question bro, what filter media did you put in the external filter? Im planning to use an external canister too.

Hi bro, sorry for the late reply! Yeap I'm using a chiller. Used to be Resun CL450...which was an overkill and way to noisy...then changed to Resun CL280...been running quiet and cool eversince :)

As for filter medias, my first tray(bottom) is the normal filter wool, followed by Bio-rings and coral chips, followed by Seachem's Phosphate and Carbon, Lastly is Seachem's Denitrator(Which i think has little impact on the nitrate levels. I suggest going back to basics of regular water change then depending on products...) Oh and get a external canister for a 3 feet tank at least if you're setting up a 2 footer tank.

Let me know if you need more infos on anything regards to this set-up. :)

Hope to see a thread with pictures on your new Nano soon! Happy reefing!

Bro finind, I'm using those normal LED strips found at sim lim.... you just need to find those that can handle about 10W per strips..if i'm not wrong.

Bro Ezie, Yup all my corals doing well with the light and no salt crystals, no rust yet... except that recently the PH went a little on the 8.0 reading... and was low on KH... and there was some posphate... so had to counter with Goodbye P04 and some KH Buffer... everything back to normal :)

Bro Ezie - Hehe, i also dunno... asked for the length i needed and then paid the qouted amount. If you have a higher budget, go for the known brands la bro.. definately be a better investment. check with the more senior guys on this. I'm sure they will be more than glad to help :)

Bro william - yup2, I took some macro shots earlier. Not that nice though...will upload in abit :)
