FINALLY MY TANK IS HERE........

Hi Guys, had been waiting for almost 6 weeks and now my tank is here under close monitoring for leak since Saturday 16072011.

Thanks to all the Bros and Sis here who gave me good advice and sharing yr precious knowledge with me.

Had been reading and planning for about 5 months and now is time to kick start my long awaited dream project.......

I will start posting pictures soon and hope that you can give me yr comment and advice and hopefully I can share with you about the setup.

Not using filter Sock? I dont see anything to hold up the sock .

I believe your chiller outlet is back into the sump? Try to get a filter sock for the outlet and put the outlet before the return pump compartment to minimize microb bubble..

Oh btw, y dont u put ur plug at e chiller compartment instead of e sump compartment. Guess it will be better. Just my 2cent... :P

if possible.. dun keep chiller inside cabinet...

causes bad smell in the cabinet, temp inside will be warm = chiller kick in more often...

overall.. bad idea to keep chiller inside cabinet...

Ya.... at the moment no..... using filter wool..... for the next few weeks i will be testing out few filtration methods before deciding what to do for the pre filter.... will test out filter socks as well..... thanks bro......

after some though from yr advice.... most ppbly i will put it in the skimmer compartment and place filter wool in between the 2nd and the last compartment..... thanks bro...

No problem bro..... thanks for sharing..... during my initial planning my chiller is to be install outside but due to too many constraint, like machiem CO not happy with the look of the chiller outside the beautiful cabinet she design and my playful kid playing with the setting of the chiller.... etc, i decided to put it in the cabinet... sigh.....

let me try out and see what can be done if the fan inside the cabinet did not work out..... thanks again bro....

Thanks for the compliment bro..... initial plan yes... but now thinking of returning to the chiller compartment..... and will put filter wool in between the skimmer and return pump compartment.... any advice? thanks bro....

if your water volume is larger than 100g, performance is similar but more frequent kick in

tested with my 4 footer

same compartment, lights off, kick in time 40 mins, rest 70 mins

different compartment, lights off, kick in time 60 mins, rest 120mins

you will notice more frequent kick in when lights on
