SPS need to be fed?

Recommended Posts

Preferably yes. In nature they feed on zooplankton. Even scientific studies have shown poccillopora capable of ingesting newly hatched brine shrimp. SPS do grow faster with regular feeding as their protein requirements for growth cannot be met via photosynthesis. Many commercial products that are available locally can be fed to SPS. Examples include Roti-feast, Oyster feast from Reef Nutrition, Coral Smoothie from Algagen, Marine Snow & Zoplan from Two Little Fishies, Ultra Min F from Fauna Marin, etc. Varied diet is always better than a single diet.

Always something more important than fish.
