Is DI water bought from departmental store free from silicate

bought from NTUC or polar etc

is this DI water free from silicate?

so that I wont get those brown stuff on the glass

I think you are referring to Distilled Water, not DI. They are 2 very different things. I don't think you can buy DI water from departmental stores. Distilled water is meant to be free from any contaminants.

DI = De-ionized.

but those distill water sold in ntuc is suitable for salt mix right?

Shld be fine, I am using 'Life' from NTUC 2 for 95cent(3liter), or sometime if you visit JB you can get 5.5liter bottle from carefore for RM2+ or Jusco for RM3+. Cheers..
