They are copepods bro. They are also main staple for certain fishes.

There are reefers who integrate refugiums just to maintain the population of copepods.

Other purchase live pods from LFS.

my new little Bangai cardinal once intro into tank starts to attack the pods

after cycling 5 weeks plus, with nitrite =0 and nitrate increased to 5-10mg/L ... changed 50% of the water.

This time using D-D H2Ocean salt

though phosphate is still 0 but there is green stain on/in the glue at the edges

is that alage? how to remove?

Sorry to hijack this thread, just didnt want to start a new one for maybe a silly question haha

I am cycling my 3 footer, is it ok that i use one my dead tropical fish to start the cycle?

Being a veg for a period of time, found it a waste to purchase market prawns

Is this do able?

I also find it wasteful to buy prawn but to use 1 for cycling

or you can get forzen mysis shrimp cubes

I did that and i think my cycling should be ok ba...

and the mysis can be kept frozen and use to feed fishes later
