how to feed purple tang more fat?

is too skinny .feed in pellet.

buy some fresh algae such as "purple grapes", "red bamboo" etc. Can get it from CF (regularly available) or from SeaLife (once in awhile).

Fresh seaweeds are a better choice for new or finicky tangs, that is provided one can get hold of them. The next best choice I would recommend is the Julian Sprung's Sea Veggies by Two Little Fishies.

Yes, they are hardy. I once had 4 fish in my quarantine tank. They all caught the white spot disease but only the Purple survived.

Yep, i found the Purples are as hardy as they come

my purple tang turned patch skin colour. then i started feeding it red bamboo and the colours gradually return. is red bamboo a necessary diet for purple tangs?
