Biopellet-Reactor

Dear Fellow Reefers

Can someone please kindly advise which part of the sump should I place the Biopellet-Reactor?

My sump has 4 Compartments, namely: -

1. Water flows in from the overflow outlet of the tank into the first compartment with filtration media, then water passes thru...

2. compartment with protein skimmer, flow thru...

3. Refugium with sand and gracillaria, caulerpa & Chaeto...

4. Lastly a pump that pumps back water into the tank above.

So which compartment should I place the biopellet reactor: 1, 2, 3 or 4?

Many thanks for your kind advice in advance.

Thanks. I was advised to put the inlet after mechnical filtration and the outlet as near to the skimmer as possible. Thanks for your reaffirmation.
