Hi Bro, my research so far on lighting for corals has been on going. However, it has been widely recognised that blue spectrum tend to contribute to a large extend on coral colouration. However, white lighting seems to intensify certain colouration such as red, so i personally perfer a mixture of blue and white, having a proportion of 70/30 there about Hope that helps Quote Treat others the way you wanna be treated... No wonder the zoas look quite dull in my tank? hee... I am at 50-50 now. Will consider adding just blue lights to my tank to make it 70-30 now. Noticed @ GO, they used blues heavily to bring out the fluorescence of their corals.
