SRC Member Tanzy Posted January 10, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted January 10, 2003 I'll be flying off later today so I thought I'll but up some pic cause I won't get to take a picture of my tank for another 6 months. Tank is still empty because there's simply no corals to fill it with! Need frags! I know some of you keep very nice acros and monti but just keeping quiet. The SPS colonies are 4 months old only, while most of the other stuff including fish, rocks and sand were retained from before the crash half a year ago. The tank is 4' x 1.5' x 2' 75gal glass with overflow. Equipment: 2x Eheim 1060 (one for return other for chiller) 1x Iwaki MD40R (for protein skimmer) 4x Tunze 6100 Stream (for circulation) with 7094 controller 1x Teco RA680 (pretty obvious) 1x No-brand Ca Reactor with Eheim 1046 1x modified ETSS Reef Devil 1x 4' aluminium hood with 2 fans and PFO reflector 2x 400W Osram Radium MH 2x Blueline MH e-ballasts 1x 48" 110W URI Super Actinic VHO tube 1x 48" 40W Coraldeath 10000K NO tube 1x Icecap 660 e-ballast (for FL tubes) And a host of other nonsense odds and ends. Water Parameter: Calcium 400ppm Alk 3.5meq/L Magnesium 1700mg/L Phosphate undetectable Nitrate undetectable pH 8.2 +/- 0.1 Temperature 27 deg C +/- 1 Quote Warning: Heavy handed moderator in operation. Achilles Tang
If you need me to babysit your tank or troubleshoot any probs which crop up... I'll be more than happy to do so. Just give your dad my handphone number! AT
SRC Member Tanzy Posted January 10, 2003 Author SRC Member Share Posted January 10, 2003 Thanks a lot! Are you sure you did not bite off more than you can chew? Hopefully nothing goes wrong. The only potential problem with my tank might be the Italian but made in Taiwan BBQ solenoid valve cooking off. Calcium and alk problems are more or less solved after replacing it.
