SRC Member Greenmariner Posted June 13, 2011 SRC Member Share Posted June 13, 2011 Just bought a hammer coral from a hobbyist. Placed it about 1.5 - 2 inches away from a frogspawn coral. Being of the same family, would they co-exist peacefully? Or being of different sub-species, would the more aggressive euphyllia specie sting the less aggressive one? Does anyone know? Thanks Greenmariner

SRC Member Greenmariner Posted June 14, 2011 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 14, 2011 all, except torch, have no problem touching each other cheers Thanks to all who have answered my queries. For my sake, I hope they are right in saying that different euphyllia species can co-exist peacefully. So far, although the two corals have not touched each other, there is also no sign of trauma in either coral. Hopefully, it will stay that way. Senior Reefer yikai Posted June 14, 2011 Senior Reefer Share Posted June 14, 2011 all euphyllia can touch each other. even torch coral with other euphyllia. occasionally a freak incident may happen where they may fight but that's only temporarily and only one or two tentacles. interspecies is ok.
