he brought the chiller to the toilet, dismantle and flush the inside & outside with water

after that use a blower to dry the electric component, assemble and test

chop chop less than 1 hour finish liao, very experience

if you dare you can DIY, use a cloth and vacuum cleaner to suck the dirt

for me i will spend this $60 every 1-1.5year as im really bad in DIY

from my understanding, there might be some leakage if your chiller requires gas top up

cheers

A simple question, can I get my regular air con guy to service the chiller for me?

Hi bro,

He used tap water or chemical to flash clean the chiller?

For me, I have done myself the flushing by using RO/DI water every few month.Beside that I have added a white cotton filter in front of the chiller's fan coil and change when the cotton discolored or clog. If the chiller man do the same as what I did than I will not call for a chiller service liao.

based on what i see, anyone can service if he knows how to dismantle and assemble the chiller

he place the chiller horizontally and uses running tap water to flush

he did recommend me air con filter too, to trap the dust

by doing so, dust will not reach the interior thus servicing is not required

if your chiller is more than 4 years old, you might want to consider servicing as he check the components too

cheers
