Enquires On glass grade in fish tank

Need help on the different type of glass available in fish tank.

I am getting a 4X2X2 10mm glass tank which costs ~$370 with built-in overflow. The dealer says it is made of float glass which is top grade glass, is what he claims true?? Is the price alright. Thanks for the help in advance...

All glass tanks are made from float glass. Which is also sometime call window glass..and you can see that the glass has a green shade to it.

So I don't think the claim as top quality is true....

For top quailty, you should get 'starphire' glass which is basically clear with only a tiny hint of green. This will cost you a bomb as they are sold in per square foot.

if u wanna see the quality of the 'starphire' glass... AT is using that for his tank....

Jewel Tanks are also using Float glass, but very good optical properties... different grade of float glass perhaps?
