Recently just setup a new 1ft cube tank. Currently cycling stage with Liverock only.

Yesterday I was looking at the liverock and wondering if the below should be remove or remain in tank??

I think is you have Syconoid, asconoid & calcareous sponge.. Shld be safe..leave it be... Cheers...

I saw that LFS sells them as soft coral.

Non-photosynthetic soft corals (NPS). They will mostly die off during your cycle.

So how do I determine if they died off?

And should I remove them? Or leave it?
