Saw some very nice & neat bacteria reactor can be use in nano tank @ Green Chapter.. Unfortunately , can't find info on their web.. Heard is from Japan design... Will try snap some pics next visit...

Btw,

One of them using air stone to generate movement on filter media upside down. I believe we can apply this concept on Bio-pellets reactor.

The other one is normal over hang filter integrated with one compartment for Bacteria reactor...
