Low Salinity in Pre mixed Salt water

Brought few packets of Pre mixed saltwater

from a local LFS and found out that the

Salinity reading is only 1.017+/- !!

My corals appears to be stressful now~~

any advise from bros here whats the fastest

way to get the salinity back to right track?

As seawater is collected locally , the salinity tend to be lower than places where corals is blooming and salinity is much higher.. That's also explain why Singapore dont have much corals on our shore...

NSW is good for FOWLR tank or small volume water change,but if you are doing a large water change you can add in some salt mix to bring up the salinity . It is always good to test the salinity and water parameter of your NSW during your water change since NSW tend to have lower Ca,mg and kh as compare to saltmix.

Hi bro, can PM me the source of your NSW.

Reason i often buy from multiple source and without checking the SG.

I only checked the main tank SG after i add it in.
