How to make clam let go its grip

Help! I was trying to shift my clam to a new location using my long chopsticks. But it managed to clamp on one of the chopsticks and refused to let go. How can I make it release its grip without hurting it?

Thanks in advance for your advice. :P

can try dipping it into hotpot, sure open :)

haha jokes aside, it should release its grip when it feels safe again, try placing it with the clamped chopstick in a dimmer area with not much human traffic and leave it alone for sometime

Haha...then got to wait for tonight after I leave office because the only human traffic is me siting in front of the tank all the time. :)
