yes...its a majano anemone. and no, it does not stink, but it stings real hard

"Nuclear" ?? Is it so serious?

Have been keeping many of it in my tank for 6mths already. Initially moving around, then comfortable sitted already.

Don't see the threat of it yet everthough with other corals in tank.

Do you suggest me to remove it? I can easily remove it with pincer.

That's why. I got this rock with 17 of it. So now my tank with plenty of it.

Yup, saw quite a few of the LFS selling this and some even have it in their display tanks! What exactly are they displaying? that they dunt know what they are selling?

manjanos are pest... they can sting other corals...

It's really despicable dat some LFS are selling them...

My friends... I can safely say that most of LFS are NOT as knowledgeable as serious hobbyists....plus they are doing this as a business... if they could.. they would sell cyano and aiptasia.... and believe me.... I have heard of a shop selling a rock of aiptasia to a newbie before!

actually i have 2 in 1 of my LR sharing 3 kind of mushrooms.. so far it never sting any of them so i left it alone.. and the rock have 1 small hole housing 1 crab.. can always see of of the pincer coming out of the hole scanning for food.. ..also never disturb my mushroom so i left it alone..

Yeah... I seen it before too...

This shop owner actually gives his rocks of aiptasia a fanciful name and he's selling them as "white crystal coral"....

Razo, i think you better remove it asap before it decides that it is comfortable enuff and start reproducing all over the tank.. personal experienced from 1 of my marine tanks in the office.. major outbreak...

majano still can easily remove with pincer, however aiptasia is hard.

my friend advise me to use lime juice with a syringe. shiock! kill it on the spot.

I don't see it as "pest" as it is really beautiful, however, I do agree that it can't just stay at one place...
