When I ON my lights, I saw 2 moving "??" on my rock.

I thought it was my wavemaver blowing some aglae.

However, after closely examine, they seems to be wanting to eascape into the cave out of lights...

I quickly took out my tongs and picked them up.

They are like slug, but one is with shell the other no.

The one with shell can move pretty fast...

Pest?

yupps stomatella.. algae grazers.. the "non-shell" part is part of its tail, which it detaches when in threat, as part of defense mechanism.. like a house lizard.. have tons of these in my tanks.. they breed very fast but big wrasses love them..

Stomatella (varia Snail)

Awesome herbivore (micro algae eater) good addition to any tank!

I saw in another forum someone has quite similar as mine...maybe the above...

Oops.. forgot.. come across this name before... Monitor yr zoas, They might cause irritation to zoas & some softy.. But not documented this habit before.. & they stick on rock firm when trying to remove..

Some believe Peppermint shrimp consume them as well..

Cheers...

YES! Bingo!

When I use the tong to pick it up, it broke into 2.

I thought it was breeding...one with shell and one without..

I quickly took them out to my QT.

Not sure will there be anymore..

I have a yellow and six line wrasse..will they eat them?
