Kalk leftover cannot be used?

for how long depend also..maybe u can try to test every hr or so after driping until it maintain your desire reading

Thks for the advise! I saw fr the instruction of preparing the kalk stating tat those leftover which is the bottom of the kalk wif tap water mixes cannot be use! Any reason 4 tat?

The leftover or precipitate can either be insoluble calcium carbonate or undissolved calcium hydroxide or mixture, but you don't know how much, so it's often discarded when mixing a new batch just for convenience.

Tanzy, how will this apply to kalk reactors? Can i assume that since the solution is not exposed to air, the insoluble calcium carbonate will not happen and just keep on topping up the powder into reactor when depleted? Thanks

Ja. Kalk reactors get less exposure to carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that causes the formation of insoluble calcium carbonate.

juz use a syringe and place it close enuf to the aiptasia and inject so that u would not harm other corals. presto!!! dead in 3 secs.

Using syringe with lime juice very effective too. Die on the spot.

Thks for mentioning as I thought that tis is juz sm kind of soft coral. I even got 2 fr Pasir Ris fish farm! Didn't kw it's a terrorist but thanks god, it didn't survive long 2 mulitple!
