as title, i have now both running in my sump and FR. But the algae scrubber is taking out alot of my space. So will it be fine if i add more of ROWA and cheato and remove the algae scrubber? or just leave it as it is.

PO4 measure as near zero with normal test kit.

Only 5 fish in a 2ft tank.

Just stop each system for a week and test yr parameter. Which ever method works for u, go for it. Hopefully it doesn't prove all must work together, then u will have headache. Lol.

I started with FR, but now switched to algae scrubber only. Sold off the FR

Actually, a lot depends on what you keep. i.e. SPS, LPS, FOWLR,..etc

I'm having FOWLR, so just a bag of carbon, Chaeto, & some LR for biological.

i having a normal zoa tank, so need to bring the PO4 down to really low.
