and i spent some time thinking where should i place it...

that green and purple majano is actually very beautiful.

i would not have thrown it away if i were you.

majano doesn't spread as quickly and as rampant as aiptasia. if i were you, i would have isolated it on a separate rock and place it on the sandbed. in time, the entire rock will be covered with that lovely green and purple majano but will not spread elsewhere outside the rock.

oh damn! it sure looked like a Majano anemone to me!

i got this from the shop in front of ah beng...

i've always wanted her duncans at the right side of her display tank,

but she is always not willing to sell...

after much "nagging" she decided to give me a small "frag" of it...

i happily came home and glued it on a rock...

now if its Majano anemone i'm gonna be damn

Yes it is a majano Kiko.

I had 3 and they never did reproduce. Luminous green in colour.

Here's how a duncan looks like. Average about $10 per head and they are very difficult to frag.

the ones I have seen are luminous green and biege coloured ones.

Try to get the luminous green with the face green coloured as well. They looks nicer imo.

One can have an attractive saltwater aquarium, complete with a coral reef and a majano anemone or two, and before long, everything is covered with the anemone. So, it's little wonder that it is an undesirable creature to have. Not only undesirable, but in the view of many, very difficult to bring under control or get rid of.

intial plan was for my 4ft to be a FOWLR tank so i can collect all the Huge Angels and Tangs...

but everytime i pay a visit to any LFS, if any LPS/SPS caught my eye, cannot resist myself not getting them.. haha..

yea and lots of real estate, have to slowly fill it up... not enough moolah... lol...

you mean i should create a "high-low" effect with my rocks?

i tried creating "caves", some 3D effect which cannot be captured from the front...

but then again, i always suck in scaping..

always turn out unnatural..

the only thing i dont like about reefing is rock-scaping

whats the name of this SPS?

my RBTA used to be small and nice,

over 2months it has grown so quickly!

it seem to have lost its "bulb",

could this be a case of insufficient light?

got inspired by Klyve's "Nano" inside sump concept..

decided to do something with this empty space i have in my sump..

any ideas?

1) pack the compartment with beautiful clams?

reduce the level of sand

2) collect different kind of gobies?

3) keep slow moving LS like seahorse and pipefish?

and no i dont think i'll convert it into a frag tank.. haha...

Just to share a pair of watanabei angelfish that I added 2 weeks ago...

both from CF, feeding very well on pellets...

sadly the female didnt make it few days back...

it suddenly became "shy" and before i know it,

came home one day to find it lying on my sandbed... how sad...

here are some pictures i took when they first arrived..

the male is still around,

always out in the open...

will be looking out for a new partner for him...
