Yellowtail Chromis

Recommended Posts

There are no chromises with yellow tails.

Sounds like either a yellowback or blue and gold fusilier. Is the upper body yellow as well?

Or have you mistaken a goldtail damsel as a chromis?

If I am not mistaken there is. Bought 3 from CF, its ok to mix them with your tang. I have sailfin and purple tang and they are not bothered. Its just like green chromis..characteristics and behaviour are the same..love to swim in group.

Then I was right. ;)

It's Caesio Teres, blue & gold fusilier.

Harmless fish. Except when they reach adulthood, they can reach 30cm in length... they will eat smaller fishes then.

I used to have them in my old tank. They school well together. Very greedy and will grow reasonably fast. Very common when you go diving... people catch them to make fishballs... ;)
