Coralife salt mix, 3-4 dKH ?

Recommended Posts

hmm...i've never tasted the dkh of corallife saltmix before but I did notice a considerably lower dkh when I was using this brand of salt. Was always hoovering around 7 dkh after adding tonnes of reef builder. Now, the dkh is climbing up to 10 plus again after changing my salt mix

Always add salt to water and not water to salt. Adding water to salt will cause precipitation of insoluble carbonates which will lower the alkalinity.

The ALK & calcium level is it in pre-mix mixture or from from your tank itseft ?

Or is it i'm using dechlorinated tap water for mixing the salt that yield the low ALK level ?
