Finally got to setup after my dad beat me to the gun and ordered a tank 2 x 1.5 x 1.5 with sump

but he neglected the overflow part so i have to get an overflow box

Thanks to solo77 bro for all the valuable advises prior to the setup

Nothing much going on in the tank yet, still cycling

Thanks to Ken from madpetz as well - the first suggestion for rock scaping was perfect and inducted immediately :)

really looking forward to adding some life into the tank :)

any comments would be welcome

thanks

i have nt heard of any1 using biopellets without skimmer...

i will save on the details.. the skimmer will assist in your stocking earlier...

be very careful on the flowrate of the BP FR... if the flowrate is too low, and running without a skimmer can kill your livestock..

but since u dun hv any livestock nw, i dun think anything worse could happen lolx..

If I never remember wrongly should be BP before Skimmer...

BP is before skimmer... most of the output of BP is prefered to direct to the inlet of the skimmer...

but it does not really matter if there is space constraints..

i not sure if u add the correct amt to the BP FR but u shld start with half the recommended dose.., topping up / excessive BP dose will contribute to cloudy water.

But i think your case would be nitrate cycling without a skimmer..

Great

I do just that prior to adding livestocks

Anyway I'm still undecided with regards to skimmer

Was contemplating between tunze 9002 or 9006

Any comments on these 2?

Is better to get a oversize skimmer that can fit into ur sump tank.Maybe consider getting a needlewheel skimmer like BM.

My decomm 4ft FOWLR
