Has anyone ever tried this? I'm planning on mixing prawns with oyster,selcon, seaweed and freeze dried cyclopeeze..i'm only going to chop it finely, add a tiny bit of water and refrigerate it(i dont know what container to use).......is there any obvious flaw???

Use a blender and blend everything will be easier and you can use a ice cube maker... That is what I do..

Here is my ingredient.. will file my own video when free...

DIY blended mixture Reef ingredients as below..

- Prawns, Mysis Shrimp, Cyclop-eeze, cod fish, Masago

- Squid, Octopus

- scallops, fresh clams, Mussel, Oaster

- Dry Krill, anchovies

- SeaWeeds (Ocean Nutrition)

- Selcon, Pro-Series SeaPlankton 5-in-1 Coral Food, Korallen-zucht.de Aminoacid concentrate Fish, Kent marine Zoe, Ecosystem Garlic Elixir

I kapo prawn head from my mom's market prawn(no point for that part going to waste mah..).

De-shell to extract meat(surprisingly there's quite substantial amount of meat in the head portion).

Minced it up with a cleaver.

Then scoop into pill boxes for freezer.

Hi, Below r some masago u can get from Giant,Cold storage or some Japanese restaurant.. Mainly Ikura/Prawn ROE/Flying fish ROE.. Note ROE in japanese mean fully ripe internal ovaries or egg masses of fish and certain marine animals, such as shrimp, scallop, crab and sea urchins.

The Sushi RAW seaweed I got from Jusco JB.. Hardly find affordable price unprocess Sushi Seaweed here..

I am using brand Tefal blender.. Is good enough for the task..

woah....an expert. I'm sure your fish must love the 'cadbury' bar....how did you find such moulds...is it possible to reuse the tray that the mysis shrimps come in? Your fishes live a more comfortable life than me.....

Thanks.. I am still learning... I prefer silicone chocolate/ice cube mold..

U can try salvage mysis shrimps tray but I personally feel not so practical... Below is mysis tray version..

I tried blender and chopper before. I find that the blender makes the food too fine. Prefer to use chopper.

Also I put the chopped up food in a ziplock bag, flatten it and place it flat in the freezer.

Once frozen, take out for less than 5 minutes and cut into desired size.

Place back into ziplock and take out desired amount during feeding.

Usually, I take out a piece and keep in a plastic bowl with cover (those used for "Tapow" mee pok) and keep it in the fridge.

You can try add some Zeovit Amino Acid Fish & Spirulina powder with your blend food.. good for yr live stock...

For LPS/SPS.. Sometime, I add 5 in 1/Roti-Feast in Blend food... But I did provide Zeovit Amino Acid LPS & Coral Vitalizer daily separately.. Cheers...
