Starting this topic to share what are the ways you have tried to enhance the color of your fish especially angel fish ?

I am currently trying our frozen food mix with spirulina, cyclopeeze and Vitamin C from kent marine to bring out its color but still awaiting to see result. For dry food i am feeding Dainichi pallets.

so far the best results i had came when i swapped from pellets to an all frozen diet (mysis, brine, cyclopeeze, diy food etc)

not related to feeding but i feel that fishes colour up more with respect to its environment. the more settled and suitable the tank is the better the colour will be. i find this true for many fishes like wrasses, angels or damsels. i had one damsel which only showed its true colours when i took out the other fishes and it became the king of the tank.

Base on observation by the 2 brothers, light blue makes the fishes more radiant and less dull compared to a black back drop. Anyway back to topic, i feed my angels with pellets coated with spirulina powder and also i let them peck on my tank glass that is covered with algae.

Feed the fish with food that contains high levels of carotenoids. Such foods include cyclopeeze, arcti-pods. There are some pellets that are formulated with such carotenoids in high amounts like Fauna Marin Marine Base Color / Marine Soft Shrimp. Henry of Marinelife also has a range of frozen food that has high inclusion levels of carotenoids to bring out the color of your fish.

Always something more important than fish.
