ilija
Hello everyone This is my new aquarium, aqua medic yasha, the all-in-one 10g nano features a trio of 3W Aqua Medic Aquasunspot MR16 LED lights , a Turboflotor 500 Blue skimmer tucked neatly in the back, and a Nanoprop 5000 circulation pump. As soon as I saw this tank it was love at first sight. We'll see how it will show up in the future.
zabz01
clean setup bro! by the way, your lightset quite interesting! is it a DIY? where did you bought the holders? can PM me details?
SRC Member tunicate Posted April 1, 2011 SRC Member Share Posted April 1, 2011 Nice tank ilija. The black piece at the rear is taller than normal design to hide equipment in the sump area. However, I think that makes it a little bit more restrictive in terms of maintenance access. Interesting concept. Will be following this thread. ilija
Dimensions: (l x w x h): c. 30 x 40 x 30 cm 36 l gross volume. Aqua medic Yasha have integrated filter compartment on back side. The only problem so far I have had with skimmer, when the stream pump is on max speed *stream pump return water in tank*, water level in compartment with skimer is low and skimer dont work with full power. For now they are gone brown algae, but I put rowa to reduce them.
SRC Member tunicate Posted April 6, 2011 SRC Member Share Posted April 6, 2011 Your skimmer should be in the compartment where water level is constant irregardless of return pump performance. BTW, having brown diatom is normal if your tank has not fully mature. With proper husbandry it should go away later.
