As usual, a very clear answer from bro Lemon. But it was not long ago, maybe 40 years ago, that i used a brush to sweep these white spot off my fighting fish. They really came off ! Caught you. How you gonna explain it.

Cheers,

mike

White spot in fresh water is totally different from white spot in marine.

yeap. this is the one and there is different brands as well. It works for me even if i dose in main tank. I've chose to ignore if there any sudden apperance of "white spots". just do water change and ensure water perimeter is in tune. BTW, i run 50mg ozone as well.

cheers

Hi Bro, u mean everytime u bought new fishes, u put them into freshwater bath before transfer it into yr main tank?

how long do u need to do the freashwater bath? pure fresh treated tap water right?

It's from my dechlorinated aged water, but I also utilise drip acclimatisation to reduce the SG shock (not sure if that is effective). At the same time disposing off part of the water to slowly remove the remnants. Leave it there for about 5-10mins, it should be able to sustain that.

If you search online for "freshwater baths" it should produce plenty of instructions.

I dunno about others but I use metronidazole tablet for ich... It works after 1 week of treatment... It is mixed in food and the medicine will be eaten together with the food and the medicine will work from the bloodstream of the fish... The ich that hosting the fish will take in the medicine while being attached to the fish and die from the medication...

BUT the down side, is that the fish MUST be feeding before this could work...

My hybrid powder blue is free from ich even at night, ich is more obvious at night when sleeping...
