SRC Member dradttg Posted January 2, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted January 2, 2004 Dear all, Just went to check out ATMAN light just now. The model I looked at is 4ft 2 x 150W MH + 4 x PL. Not sure if it is good or not. ATMAN light user. Please comment.
nqh71
How much does it cost? Then can compare with others in terms of reliability.

SRC Member chrislwp Posted January 2, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted January 2, 2004 I am using it. For 2 mths already. So far so good. Only occasionally a little noise from the transformer, just hit the casing a little and the sound disappear already. other than that I am satisfy with it. Sponsor dr evil Posted January 3, 2004 Sponsor Share Posted January 3, 2004 hi guys, im using one too.....the problem with this MH is that the ignitor vibrates and make a rattle sound sometimes. Also, this MH does not come with a capacitor.....to my supprise when i dismantle the MH. the manufacture want to save on cost maybe! Also, the 4 PL lights comes with 4 magnetic ballast.......that is the cause of the weight. Now, im replacing it with 2 x dual eballast. Now, after the rattling sound, i have decided to modify it to house DE 2x250watt with the gear being external..... Hope that the glass for this fixture is UV coated.... Weight is definitely an issue. I tried lifting the 3 ft one and I think it is at least 20 kg. I am not sure how much a 4 ft will weigh. However, I find the design extremely nice.
