Tap water for salt water mix

Hi guys, I have been wondering whether tap water for saltwater mix will cause any coloration issues to sps? Is ro/di really a necessity?

Some of my colors are retaining well.. Especially green( I m wondering is it because I m using tap water, hence my iron is too high) However, like purple/blue and yellow..I really have some problem in intensifying it.

My no3 and po4 are undetectable.. Thanks

Run your water through a 0.5 micron ceramic filter and you will know how dirty tapwater is. Within 10 days of using, I had to clean it. The rust could be rubbed off like skimmate. Now I even use RO/DI just for fish.

its even worse than seawater? jk, can advice me on keeping fishes as well? my fishes can feed well, however, always ard 2-3 weeks, they can go disappear.. really wonder what is wrong..
