hi bro, i use a vacuum cleaner. its the normal siphon but got an attachment that is attached to the inlet entrance. usually this comes with the siphon as a set. its a bell shaped attachment, u stick it into the sand, n wowww u will see the amount of accumulated dirt that in the sand bed!!!!

When doing water change,use anything hard e.g plastic stick,end of net,long chopsticks to stir the sand n meanwhile siphone the dusty area make by sand stirring.

That's how I do to achieve clean white sand. Hope this helps...

Some1 doesn't 1 2 do anything find an excuse,some1 1 2 do something find a mean!

You will also siphon the water out, right?

I do not want to change water but just hope to siphon the dirt from the sand.

Or maybe can siphon the water and wrap the other end with sock and return the water back to the sump.

Can you give me a pic or the model and brand and where to buy?

My sand is getting brown day by day

hi vinc, wanted to take a pic this morning but rush rush rush. anyway its the $2 or $3 siphon that u find at the provision shops at HDB . the pump is usually red or blue (tubes are transluscent white) n it comes with a bell shape attachment that u can stick into the inlet end.
