hi kksg, glad that you are still in this hobby :)

Same thing happened to my MP10.

Victor (irwarna) can replace the controller for you for about $75.

75 for MP10ES or MP10wES?

Irwana quoted me $180 leh.. I have a question, for only a single wavemaker, it makes no difference to have MP10ES, MP10wES or MP10 right? Es needs to have 2 or more wavemakers for the sync mode. Please correct me if otherwise.

correct me if i am wrong

mp10 can only manually tune wave speed

mp10es have different wave modes

mp10wes, if you have more than 1 wave maker, can set master slave config

for single, i will opt for mp10es as i find random flow important

you got tell them is mp10 and not mp40?

cheers

Found these

The original MP10 is no longer available iirc, you could get one second hand though.

The ES versions have the following modes:

Constant Speed Mode

EcoSmart Nutrient Transport Mode

EcoSmart Tidal Swell Mode

Reef Crest Random Mode

Lagoonal Random Mode

Short Pulse Mode

Long Pulse Mode

Feed Mode

Night Mode

The original didn't have the Ecosmart modes and the ESw is the wireless version so it can be 'paired' with another wireless pump for synch or anti synch modes.

I think i will get an es upgrade kit for my damaged controller afterall. Cheers!

EcoSmart Tidal Swell Mode

In this EcoSmart mode water is circulated to create a harmonic balance in your aquarium reminiscent of the changing flow conditions that would be found in nature. Over the course of several hours, the flow pattern will go from very chaotic with an emphasis on left to right flow direction to an emphasis on right to left flow direction, all the while experiencing calm period in between and followed by a great surge of flow at the very end of the cycle. Adjusting the dial changes the maximum speed achieved at any time during this mode. Slave pumps should be positioned opposite the master and on the back of the tank to take full advantage of the EcoSmart modes.

EcoSmart Nutrient Transport Mode

EcoSmart Nutrient Transport Mode

In this EcoSmart mode, water is circulated in a two phase program consisting of wave motion to stir up detritus and surging motion to move the detritus into your overflow where it can be skimmed out. This effect promotes maximum health and nutrient export, as well as increased growth for sensitive corals such as SPS. Adjusting the dial changes the maximum speed achieved at any time during this mode. Slave pumps should be positioned opposite the master and on the back of the tank to take full advantage of the EcoSmart modes.

I'm getting excited...:P
