Green alage spots on my glass

Hello...

The green algae spots has been appearing on my tank inner glass wall for many mths.

Are there any ways to get rid of them? It will reappear in 3-4 days time after i wiped the glass clean.

I using 2 of 36 w PL lighting with photoperiod from morning 11 am til night 11 pm.

Phosphate level is 0.1ppm

well u need to double check.. the "green alge" u r calling may not be green alge.. it might be coraline alge...

and it's common u can prevent it one.. u just have to do your job.. clean your glass every now and then.. this is the only most tiring job in this hobby..

Using razor blade to scrape the glass huh...wun scratch the glass rite :huh:

yupz of course it won't.... glass is rather scratch resistant unless urs is an arylic tank.... but i guess its not so common in singapore

I leave my magfloat in the tank and pull it around the galss everytime I look at the tank. This prevents a kind of ultra smooth green algae from taking hold. They grow in spots and can only be removed with a razor or a platinum master card.
