reeftec & little giant pump

Hi all,

The reefttec stuff looks impressive and interesting . Any body know where to get it in Singapore? If not, can any kind reefer who are going to US for business trip help to get it for me? I promised to pay some admin. fee if you can help.

reeftech quoted US $50 for it w/o pump and I check out the llittle giant pump cost another us$50 --total Us$100 bucks before adding the freight cost which could be easily another us$50 bucks.

I can help you get the PE1 and 2 pumps in Singapore.

The distributor has no stock at the moment and will have to order.

I can help you ask.

However, you will have to import in the reeftec units yourself. Or you can DIY one yourself as it's acrylic. However you will need to find a machine shop who can cut nice oval holes in them, find the plastic bolts and nuts to a holder.

is a reeftec too powderful for me 2ft tank? I'm thinkin' of hvin' 2 powerheads for my 2 footer...

If you have no substrate, a reeftec in a 2 feet shouldn't be a problem other than the amount of space it takes up. If you have sand, then the reeftec will redistribute is all over your rocks.

On the whole, not recommended for a 2 feet. Your fish won't be too happy.

1 x PE-1 is still too powerful for a 2 feet tank.

You will need to get the PE-A. I dun think there are any stocks locally for that pump.

I can fabricate the reeftec casing but I don't have the dimension. I know some contractor who can make it cheap..

Berlin type tank don't have substrate. Older Aquatechnic setups won't have a substrate because they like to siphon up all the detritus.
