Those better designed mechanical filtration have a glass box to enclose the piping outlet & the filter wool. This contain the water splashes & moisture in the sump compartment.

It is with this aim that I came upon this simple contraption for my 4 inch filter sock. The pics are quite self explanatory.

I no longer need to wipe water droplets off my sump cabinet. :groupwavereversed:
