well vinc, there are quite a few in the market available in Singapore, maxspect ( Dr Evil), lumenaqua ( Aquarium Artist), ecolamp (Aquamarin), there is a brand that Coral Farm brings in but I don't know the name of it...

There are other brands which you'd have to ship in like MAME (http://reefbuilders.com/2010/05/28/video-mame-designs-2nd-generation-ecolight-49-watts-rgb-yellow-leds/) no not the snack! or Orphek (http://www.orphek.com/)...

tons of brands out there.. Google for the win. :)

Cheers, ;)

I was also looking for LED, desi and ketchup do have some experience with the first generation of ecolamp :)

LED in the market are still rather expensive, unless you are thinking of DIY which though is cheaper than the commercial brands, is still expensive.

The expensive commercial toys come with some nifty gadgets like sunset/sun rise mode etc.

I met a really nice guy at IWarna that shared with me some thoughts on LED and he said I could discuss more at Iwarna, i think the guys there help to customise LEDs.

As for me, I am still undecided zzz

My 2 cents in regards to led.

My own criteria for getting a led lightset was that it should be easy to replace component ie the led bulb itself. So far, Maxspect has been my choice solely for this purpose and the 2nd generation Maxspect was my choice. I have not seen any led lightset that has this feature beside Maxspect. Ease of replacing component is my main choice as in practical term, all parts will degrade or wear off. I do not want to carry the lightset to the lfs to repair it as it is a hassle for me as transportation is my achilles heel.
