do you hear a loud clicking noise at night?

its very distinct,

go down to a LFS that sells ot and tap lightly on the glass...

you'll hear the snap :P

disappearing livestock is also a good sign you got a mantis ;)

Bum,

Loud clicking sounds may not always correctly indicate a mantis shrimp.

Clicking sounds can be caused by pistol shrimps or even large snails esp, trochus or turban snails, that can rotate their bodies quickly and repeatedly, knocking their shells on the glass, making loud clicking sounds!

I recommend midnight inspections and checking your livestock bodies for scarring. Or you can set a mantis trap to catch them, if any.

how big normally would the shrimp be i think i saw one before and my dottyback actually attacked it but it got away. i heard clicking sound before and i saw my skunk darting . need help. :(

sorry to go off topic.. I realised that dottybacks are really fierce critters  .. I have one and it attacks anyone that goes near it no matter how big..

yah.. maybe if your dottyback is big enough, you could rid the mantis shrimp soon.. :P besides, these dottys' too likes to live in holes of LR.

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?
