Hi all, I was wondering whether can coralline algae grows or propogate in low salinity marine water? My tank has a salinity of 1.10 due to ich treatment. Been a month already but seems coralline getting lesser altough i pump in Purple Up. Thanks in advance and Happy LNY to all....

Try measuring your calcium and magnesium.

That should give you some indication. Salinity, IMHO, doesn't as much as the 2 prior mentioned parameters.
