Hi, just found a place to custom made your acrylic if you have any design in mind. Sketch out the design with dimension and pass to the shop at

The price is quite reasonable also. My 2 ft tank is having this design as the stand for my Maxspect is protruding out of tank and too long, I decided to custom make less than $80. Will like to share some ideas that I have found.

Is the $80 including the tank or just that cover?

If it is just cover can DIY for about $15. But if include tank, then it is really good price.

tank looks like glass to me

acrylic to support a full tank can't be that thin, even thinner than the cover

It is just the cover, it is 10mm acrylic, need to cut a few holes to fit my skimmer outlet also

Ya, jus wan to share with bro out there if any one want cut to require size or buy sheet think they do sell jus that I dun have the proper tools to cut the sheet straight so ask the shop to cut it for me. I am not here to advertise jus sharing a place to get acrylic sheet, and cut to require length or shape or glue for u if u lazy like me ! Cheers!

You may want to add in 2 small guides for front and 2 to the back.

2 big guides on the side for easy placement of the Maxspect lamp.

unless you have a chiller, your temp might warm up. the cover is just as a mount for the maxspect ? same time, i'm not sure how the additional acrylic affects the dispersion of the light. better for the cover to be those like egg crates (so it would have holes, oxygen exchange), for the mounting, cheaper to just get the railing for maxspect ... just my 2 cents. cheers !

another shop at kelatan area opp the free market might be cheaper.

covering the whole of tank top means higher temperature and fast evaporation rate for ur tank.

feeding and toping up of water is problematic in future. consider a air allowance will serve a better air exchange.

I think he mention 10 mm thick acrylic.

If it is 10 mm I think its reasonable.

Cheaper will be PP or PC
