What to feed salifin tang??

My 2 inch salifin doesn't seems to be feeding. Wondering what u guys use to feed ur salifin tang

mine is a glutton...eats pellets...even cyclopeeze which is so small compared to its mouth....frozen brine shrimp and mysis shrimp...

actually depends on the specimen you get..some already dun wanna eat in the LFS and when u buy it..really hard to coax it back to eat

Ok..i have tried nori, pallets, flakes, frozen BS........ What else can i try man. Will vegetables work?

yeah..seen some LFS put some lettuce in the tank for the tangs to eat

I have let it out of my qurantine container and saw it grazing those algae growth on my rock. Hope it learn to accept other food when it become well-acclimitised to my tank.

Try Mysis Shrimp... They will eat after a few days in the main tank... But still need to coax it to eat nori... coz they herbivore...

Mine also a complete glutton... Eats everything and eats and eats and eats....

Your Tang might take a few days to get used to your tank before it starts eating...

But of it really refuses to eat then try feeding live food to coax it to start eating... Like live BS or something..

A tank should have plenty of algae for the tang to feed on during acclimatization to help to wean it onto other foods.

If your tank is relatively new and lack natural growths of algae it is not advisable to add a tang...esp if the tang only recognises algae as food when it is first introduced.

You can try getting some 'Red Bamboo' or 'Turtle grass'. My YTs feeds on those everyday, alternating it with algae on the LR. They had pinced in stomach when first introduced but look pretty normal after a few days of feeding.
