Tentative plans for 5ft

That 3ft would become a multi-purpose tank liaoz. it would become my QT and water mixing tank. Will mix salt water and store there until required. Put a pump in and pump to main tank. (very lazy to do otherwise.)

me cant need space in my house... anyway me lazy to change water one.. so only doing it once or 2 month then change once...

so long my setup and all the filtering is done and design well then will not be a problem for me later part..

hehe... i also lazy. will do it prob once a month. Anyway, got a planted tank above the QT tank, so even remove the QT, still take up the same space. But they're located in my study so what the heck lor..

Anyway will need it to QT new fish also. But with an empty tank, very dangerous, might become a predator tanks!!

well for me i hardly QT new fish as only buy fish from sealife and their goods r in gd hand.. that's why i never bother or scare...

For my 3 ft, I also hardly QT fish. Cos worst come to worst, can catch la. but now with the 5 ft, near ippossible to catch so mush be careful lor.

Predator tank. You see an empty mature tank there, backside itchy ma. can buy more fish to keep and not advisable to put puffer fish in main tank so possibility of putting fish in empty tank!! ke ke ke...

oic.. then i think better put new fish in the sump la.. just make it better will do..

unless u scare of itches.. then diff story but itches is part of the nature for reef.. so u want to prevent also very difficult..

Now for the sianz cycling period!! The armonia has already risen, the NO2 too. Now have to wait for them to drop to 0. Hopefully dont need too long as 90% of the rocks are matured rocks from old tank. And part of the water is also from old tank.

They are check valves. They prevent backflow in case the pump stops.

So much better to cycle a tank with mature rocks! so much faster!!

But need to get about 10-20kg more rocks as the right side a bit bare. Wonder which LFS is open tomorrow!

I where got DIY skimmer? only have DIY calcium reactor with a 18L media capacity
