Today is the 5th day the tank has been running. The water parameters are as follow.

Armonia : 0

NO2 : 0

NO3 : 10ppm

I started adding my corals to the new tank today. Will put in the fish tomorrow after properly acimilating them. :D

I have been monitoring the parameters. the first day, the armonia did rise. the 2nd day, the NO2 started rising and the armonia dropped. The 3rd day, the armonia reads zero and the nitrite started dropping. forth day, the nitrite reads zero and the NO3 went up.

Also have been suplementing bacteria to speed things up. :P

Hmmm... I see. :)

Sorry... didn't know the background.

I had a very short cycle too... almost negligible when I transferred everything from my old tank to my new.

You have to wait for your new DSB to mature... you may go through some nuisance algae phases. After a year.... it'll be smooth sailing! ;)

well think it's a phase every new tank go through. My previous tank went through a samll outbreak of diatoms but went away on its own after a while. and as the tank matures, no prob liao. so hows your 4ft coming along?? fully stock yet? you were saying you are getting a new pump rite??

my 4ft is still stocking up 30% filled with corals only and won't be adding any new LS until the algae phase is over, probably in 6 months to one yrs time. Very long time to endure :P

I've joined the bulk order for the resun MD55 and still waiting for delivery.

Too much equipments actually and some had to be on the floor so getting a 2ft cube with cabinet for seahorse then those MD55 noisy stuffs will go into the cabinet which will be sound proof.
