what type of lighting to buy?

currently i have a casing for lights which is empty..im wondering what type of tube lightings i should buy for my tank..(not too ex..)

coz you just can't any-o-how buy lighting fixtures for a light hood without knowing what type of ballast is it and what it can support. (=

you could remove the ballast and change it to a MH ballast. can get them at sim lim square. MUCH cheaper than ready made ones. but have to do some Modding. I would suggest you tell us what type of bulbs it used to hold so we cvould better advise you. Otherwise we can tell you nothing. PCs(powercompacts) in general are sufficient for the average reef. Unless you wanna keep light demanding clams or SPS. Do some reserach on lighting before you buy the. I suggest you go the Metal Halide way(MH). What are your tank specs? 3ft? 2 ft?

its casing for common fish lights..its does not support the 50/50 types..the tubing is like for T5 those type..

i already got 1 pc light..but then i think not enough so i may convert my fish tank light to T5 do u think its possible? its those normal dolphin light hoods..with a 2ft tubing..

think i heard sim lim got lah. from some LFS never really checked it out. Sianz 2 more days then school reopen liaoz. WTF. never do homework.
