30mm overflow pipe

hi bro don't really get what u mean?

Is it your return pump using 30mm pipe to the display tank or 30mm for the down flow to the sump?

more over you need to state what is ur pump size as in G/H or L/H

oh sure no problem i'm using 16000L/H with 2 x 30mm down flow and i feel i should increase the flow even further.

8000l/h will require a 40 mm overflow according to the calculation by RC calculator... So it is up to you..

as as said according to calculation it requirer a 40mm pipe,

but for more flow upwards you will create a heavier load and the water circulation downwards will be faster.

and with that you can make use of it to T-off the down flow and use for gravity feeding for whatever you need also

if not just leave it as it is, for sure it will work out...

if a 16000L/H can work on a full open 30mm with about 1.4m long pipe and 1/2 to 3/4 open 30mm down flow why not it won't work on a 9000L/H flow rate
