u r lucky man. I only got 1 white sea slug that came with my blue sponge. But be careful, mine is grwoing fast & i bot another blue sponge to make sure he has enough to eat.

It will be danagerous if the sea slugs die in ur tank. May cause your tank to crash.

What is this abt sea slugs...I don;t see any sea slugs and I don;t expose my sponge to air often Only the first time before putting in.

Hey as long as you've exposed it to air there's a chance that air is already trapped inside already... Hence causing a slow death...

Do read up on sponges and exposure to air..

Not all sponges will die upon exposed to air..but most of those available at LFS seem to be those that are sensitive to air exposure.

I have seen sponges being exposed during low tide before..just that these are not found in LFS...

Always something more important than fish.

SPonges exposed to air will get air bubbles trapped in their channels through which they get food(do some reading, vague description) therefore blocking any food intake. Causing it to wither away slowly. Never expose your sponges to air(better to be safe than sorry, cliched I know but true)
