Anemones are not harmful to fishes in normal circumstances. ACtually I have 4 of them in my 3 feet tank(mostly Fish only, agressive). They feed on food that drops on their tentacles. They will bring them to their mouths. However, when severely stressed(which rarely happens) They can go asexual(or is it sexual? I forgot) and release reproductive stuff(small individual"spore-like stuff" that will grow into an individual entity) into the water that are usually highly toxic to other inhabitants. But this rarely happens dun worry.

PS.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I might have remembered wrongly and maybe this happens to some other corals.

BEWARE of carpet anemones and tube anemones. These have very very strong and fatal stings for fishes.

Pls ensure you have less than 10ppm or best 0ppm of nitrates before even thinking of getting one.

Always something more important than fish.
